RallyCross
Information
"Do it in the durt!!!"
What is a
RallyCross? Simple... It is
the best place you can go to test your driving skills in the dirt. It is on a
short track, lined with cones, with many turns, and technical spots. Cars are
spaced out enough that contact between competitors is not possible. This is a
race against the clock, not wheel-to-wheel. Every street legal, hard top, vehicle can
compete with no special safety equipment. The driver must have a helmet, and
shoes (no sandals), other than that nothing special is required. We will have
loaner helmets available if needed...
This year is our
second year to host
a RallyCross in conjunction with The Prescott Forest ProRally. Last year was a
great beginning to what will be a long standing tradition. The course is
smooth and packed dirt. We will be using the NEW Prescott
Downs/Yavapai County Fairgrounds, and they will have concessions open and
restroom facilities, as well as the large shaded grandstand open for us.
Registration is $20.00 for the traditional 3 runs. If time allows there will be
more runs, time only's, not scored at $1.00 each. This will also mark the final
event of ARA's RallyCrossUSA series.
